Al Ameen college, Edathala

Remarks :

I can't judge the college now because I'm not studying anymore. Those days it was not great. There are many restrictions for students to be creative. Not many activities or events were conducted. But everything changed now

Course Curriculum Overview :

I studied B.Com taxation. U have to attend a total of 6-semester exams in 3 years. The point is after all this u are going to get a 6k job. Or u have to study higher. Many colleges in Kerala are charging 2 lakhs for a seat.

Placement Experience :

Yes, there are some placement opportunities. Don't expect more, some companies from Info park came last semester. Few of them offered the job. But I don't think any of them joined. But still its an experience for the students

College Events :

Nowadays students have events in their college most of the day. It was different those times. They just want us to pass the exams. They don't care about anything else. So events and activities are very few those days. But everything changed. It's not same anymore

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For merit, quota fees are very less. But for the management quota, you have to pay a lot. To get a management quota, you have to spend more than 2 lakhs as a donation. Also the you have pay other expenses including the exam fee, tuition fee and all

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are some scholarships but I haven't qualified for them. And I don't remember any of them. There are many scholarships are done by state and central government. I don't think college itself has any.

Campus Life :

Al Ameen has a decent lab in my opinion because they had a petrochemical course in college. There was a good cricket team in college. I haven't experienced any extracurricular activities during my studies

Hostel Facilities :

No college was around 10 km from my home. I don't know about the hostel facility. I don't think they had a proper hostel facility at that time. Because moat of the students is around from 20 km.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, they have a committee and they are doing good. They are conducting meetups every year. And college teachers are also very active in these groups. Also, they are doing some charity works also for poor or affected kids

Admission :

I had enough marks for admission. I got in the merit quota. Now the process is changed. You need to register in a government portal for admission and they will give u the options as per your mark. Once you got decided. You can join that college and if you think it's not the right college you can wait for the next allotment

Faculty :

This college has some potential because no of students in Kerala is increasing every year. I can't say it's a great college but it's still okay. I had a decent college life. But in my opinion, a great college needs a great campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth College provides B.com ( Hons ) + ACCA with 9 paper exemptions. Their B.com syllabus is too easy compared with other Bcom degrees. They should focus on more mock exams to prepare them for the real exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all the chinmaya vishwa Vidyapeed provides Bcom hons+ACCA with 9 paper exception. The syllabus is easy but it is not preparing the ACCA students to write the ACCA exams. They should focus on more mock exams to improve the ACCA students to prepare them to the real exam. The teaching methods were good they update the curriculum yearly. The exams were in semester wise. In one sem internal exams and final exams. The exams level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had taken Bcom ca which is one of the best ug cource. Bcom with computer application gives more good oppurtunities. This campus also teach us to know people from many diffeent cities and different people. So we can interact with people with different characters. I would suggest the curriculum to improve its teaching style. Exams were probably difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was a good but what I think he is that the first semester was too long which lasted for almost 1 year and the second third and fourth semester was very short. Which really affected the examination we got a lot of time to study for the first semester but I don't think it is the problem of the college but it is the problem of Kerala University.
