Which is the better option, BVP or MAIT for CSE for the person living in PG near the college, considering the attitude of students and internal marks, etc?
I can give you some ideas about the two institutes as I have friends at both BVP and MAIT.
- Location-wise, BVP is way better than MAIT, since BVP is located in the outskirts of Rohini
- The number of societies and the number of cultural events held on the campus are more in BVP compared to MAIT.
- The infrastructure such as classrooms etc is better at BVP than MAIT.
- Talking about the attitude of the students, it will be somewhat similar at both the colleges. And, for the attitude of the teachers, you will not find much difference either.
- However, when it comes to quality of education and placements, MAIT steals the show. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at BVP and MAIT is 1 LPA and 3.5 LPA.
There are not many factors that make one college stand out. So, choose either of these two institutes according to your convenience.
Which is better, civil in DTU or CS in IP colleges like USIT and MAIT?
B.tech. in Civil engineering is a flagship program of DTU. Admission is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in Class XII and candidate’s performance in JEE Main/ JEE Advance.The final selection of the program is based on the allocation of seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The four-year program is an amalgamation of courses to help students understand thedesign and construction of various structures like bridges, buildings, roads, tunnels, and dams.
B.tech. in CSis a flagship program at bothUSIT and MAIT. Admission is made on the basis of candidate’s performance in JEE Mainas well as candidates need to sit for theIPUCET examination, which is conducted by the institute. The program is a dual degree course of 6 years, made by integrating B.tech and M.tech in CS.

- A total of 78 Core Engineering and Technology firms like Maruti, L&T, etc. visited the campus andselected 272 students.
- 31 IT firms, both national and international, made 684 offers.
- Some of the internationalbig fishes includeFacebook (London), Google (Munich), Landmark Group (Dubai), Uniqlo (Tokyo), and Codenation (Dubai).
- The Lowest package offered to students was4 Lakhs whereas the average package was 7-10 Lakhs.
Faculty and Infrastructure:
- The faculty of DTU are really good and have experienceof working in core companies. Most of the faculty have a doctoral degree.
- The labsof the college are well-structured, and classrooms are also good. The food in the canteen is good and affordable. The medical facilities of the college are also good, and there are good facilities for sports with a gym.
CS from IP colleges
Placement Statistics:
- The highest packagesoffered to students was 18lakhs for on campus.
- Many reputed companies like Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Accenture, etc., visit the campus for placements.
- The highest salarywas reported to have increased byfive percentin recent years.
Faculty and Infrastructure:
- The faculty of IP college are experienced,well-educated, very helpful, and supportive.
- The infrastructure was not greatwith small classrooms.The hostels are old but well maintained. The mess serves the basic food and the canteen is pocket friendly.
Is it possible to migrate from IT MSIT to IT MAIT?
No, it is not possible to migrate IT MSIT to IT MAIT. Once the counseling is over, you won’t have the option to change your college. But internal migration within branches is possible. Branch change depends on the GPA of your first year. For branches like CS, the required GPA is higher than in other branches.
You need to apply for a lateral entry program, in order to change college.
What should I choose, EEE in MAIT or IT in MSIT?
Your choice of the course and college should totally depend upon your interests. If you have an interest in the electrical domain of engineering then you should go for EEE. If not then you should consider the IT branch for your career. It is extremely difficult to study subjects that you do not like. Now, if you are only looking out for good placement opportunities and do not have any keen interest in both of these two domains of engineering then IT at MSIT can be a pretty good option for you as the placement scenario of the college is much better than that of EEE in MAIT.
Most of the EEE students enrolled in MAIT get job opportunities in IT companies as there are very few jobs available in the core companies of the Electrical Engineering department.
Also, MSIT is situated in the heart of Janakpuri, so you will have many good places to hangout with your friends in your free time.
Which college should I choose for ECE either IPU MAIT or IET Lucknow?
One of my friends is studying in ECE in IPU MAIT so I can tell you about this. Here is what he had to say about the branch.
- If you are a beginner in a coding language then better make a habit of coding on a regular basis. The fact is at MAIT almost all companies visiting for placements are IT companies. If you are not good at coding by any then your chances of getting placed are pretty slim.
- The academic atmosphere at MAIT is great. But the exam culture of IPU is not so good, because they are always going to test your mugging up ability and not your knowledge. So, this is a minor issue in MAIT.

I will suggest that don't run behind colleges. Choose a college in which you are getting your desired branch and study hard and smartly.
Is there any chance to get a CS in MAIT with a 1,823 rank (general, Delhi)?
Yes, there are very high chances of you securing a seat at MAIT in the CS department unless the competition is too high and there are no changes in the selection criteria of the college.
- In MAIT, the college also offers a second shift for branches like CSE, EEE, ECE, etc. which helps students in getting more opportunities and get admission into their desired branches after all the required procedures are completed.
- Also, the students enrolled for the second shift in any of the above-mentioned courses get an option to upgrade their shifts to the first shift after a year if they score the desired percentage.
- Both the shifts have experienced faculty members assigned for teaching purposes.
- Practically, you just need to get admission into the college be it any of the two shifts, and work hard for a better future.
As per student testimonials, the level of education and understanding is just as good in the second shift as it is in the first one.
Which is better for CS, AIACTR, MAIT, or MSIT?
A few of my friends graduated from AIACTR, MAIT, and MSIT. Here are some facts about these colleges, which might help you make a proper choice.
AIACTR –
- Being a government college AIACTR lags in placements because fewer efforts are made by the Training and Placement Officer.
- After a semester, you will also realize that the results of internals and practicals sent by the faculty of AIACTR are fewer marks as compared to MAIT and MSIT.
MAIT and MSIT –
- While coming to a comparison between MAIT and MSIT there are a lot of factors like distance from your home and others.
- In MAIT, there are no attendance issues while at MSIT the attendance issues are a little strict. You have to maintain at least 60% attendance at MSIT.
- Academic wise MSIT is far ahead of MAIT.
- MSIT has a better placement record with an average salary of around INR 13 LPA while at MAIT it is INR 7 LPA.

MSIT is a good option if the infrastructure and strict attendance are not your major concern. If so you can easily opt for MSIT over the other two. However, make the wise decision considering other factors too.
Which is better, MSIT ECE or MAIT for EEE?
Between MSIT ECE and MAIT EEE, the former is the better alternative. As a branch ECE has better future prospects than EEE. You have to work hard to secure a decent placement opportunity in the field of EEE.

Which is better for CSE/IT Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), MAIT, MSIT, USICT or BVCOE?
There are several parameters to compare B.Tech CSE/IT at all these colleges. However, I have listed the placement stats of CSE/IT branches at these to make your choice easier-
Placements-
- Manipal University Jaipur-
Various companies recruited CS/IT students from Manipal University Jaipur this year. Some of these were- Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, Capgemini, Cisco, Cognizant, Dell Technologies, etc. This year, 98% engineering students were successfully placed from MUJ at an average package of 9 LPA.
- MAIT-
Last year, 35 CSE students were successfully placed from MAIT. The list of recruiters included- Atlassian, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, ION Trading, Juspay Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bain & Company, etc. Atlassian offered the highest package of 57.6 LPA, followed by 44 LPA from Amazon.
- MSIT-
Atlassian, CRED, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Google and Cisco were some of the companies that offered jobs to CS/IT Students from MSIT this year. The highest package of 80 LPA was offered by Atlassian, followed by CRED which offered 52 LPA.
- USICT
The branch-wise placement records are not available for USICT. But the overall placement stats are available for reference. Last year, various companies visited the USICT campus for placements. Some of them were- Amazon, Byju’s, Oracle, HCL, TCS, Huawei, etc.
The highest package was 45 LPA, and the average package was 12 LPA. In total, 70+ companies visited the campus, and 90% students were successfully placed.
- BVCOE
Last year, 112 CSE students and 101 IT students were successfully placed both on and off campus. Some of the recruiting companies were- Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, TATA 1mg, Yamaha Motors, Accenture,Wipro, etc. Overall, 44 LPA was the highest package for 2022, and the average package was 6.5 LPA.
The placements at all these colleges were good. However, the figures made the scenarios a bit more clear. The choice ultimately depends on your personal preference.
Have I done right by taking an admission in MAE in MAIT?
Yes, absolutely. Your decision is right for your career. MAE is the mechanical engineering department here. They have a nice team for MAE students called JATAU who regularly win prizes in various activities every year. Moreover, the college faculty members of mechanical engineering are quite experienced.
Placement-wise, MAIT provides several opportunities with average core companies visiting the campus for the mechanical engineering department. If you are determined to work hard, you will be successful in your field of work.
Some companies that hire students from MAIT include HCL Technology, Accenture, Birlasoft, Infosys, TATA Steel, and Wipro. The average CTC offered to the students at the institute is 3.5 LPA.
