As per the placement data available for 2023 up till now, ECE at NIT Patna has recorded its highest CTC at 45 LPA. The average package stands at 12.52 LPA and the median package stands at 8.50 LPA. The placement percentage for ECE stands at 85.07% as of now. The branch is performing quite well in the placements.

As a student of UIET CSE, I will share some merits and demerits of the same with you-
Merits-
- If you are a good coder, UIET offers decent placement opportunities in the CSE branch.
- There is a 24*7 library facility.
- You’ll get the ‘Panjab University’ tag.
- It is located in Chandigarh which is a serene, beautiful, and well-planned city.
- Your personality and leadership qualities will improve.
Demerits-
- The teaching environment isn’t good. You’ll have to learn by yourself, regardless of branch.
- The tag of ‘IITs’ or ‘NITs’ holds much more significance.
- You might not get the desired placement. In that case, you’ll be sitting for some competitive exam. For a placement in 4.5-5 LPA slab, you’ll have to work hard.
NIT Patna IT is a good option because it offers good placements and an NIT tag. As far as IIIT Bhubaneswar CSE is concerned, you can check all the information related to it and compare it with the other two.
Which one is better for CSE, NIT PATNA, IIIT Kalyani & IIIT Lucknow considering the last year placements of 40 lpa at Patna?
Someone else's package doesn't guarantee that you'll also bag the same package. Out of mentioned options, NIT Patna is a better option not because of the 40 lakh package. The placement package had been offered by Adobe which is said to recruit 2 ladies each offering 20 lakh packages to each. But in 2018, Adobe hired a female student offering her 40 LPA package, which can be true or even wrong information. However, you should not take admission in NIT Patna just because someone bagged a 40 Lakh package. The package will depend on your dedication during the course. It will help you easily earning a 6-8 LPA package.

While there is no doubt that NIT Patna is an old institution, yet it lacks some of the basic facilities such as hostels and open spaces. The campus is quite small as compared to other engineering colleges. So, it does not feel like a proper campus to some students as they have to spend 4 years there.
In the present time, a mega hostel is being constructed but it is outside the campus. The locality surrounding the campus is very unpleasant.The good thing is that the campus is located beside Ganga, having some modern and beautiful ghats. The management and staff are strict and less creative.
What will be better, NIT Silchar or NIT Patna considering all aspects?
Both NIT Silchar and NIT Patna have their strengths and weaknesses.
- NIT Silchar- NIT Silchar has a rich heritage and a greater campus size of 625 acres. Infrastructure wise, NIT Silchar is better than NIT Patna. As per the NIRF 2023 Engineering Rankings, NIT Patna is placed 56th and NIT Silchar, 40th. So the NIT S ranks higher in the NIRF Rankings. NIT Silchar has a more beautiful campus and better extracurricular facilities.
- NIT Patna- NIT Patna offers a better location. It has better transportation facilities and better connectivity. It puts out higher cutoff ranks for admissions, and it hosts good college fests. It has a small campus and lacks good infrastructure, but it has been allocated 125 acres in Bihta for the construction of its new campus.
As far as placements are concerned, both the colleges are good. Also, both offer decent sports facilities.
According to me, both colleges are good. However, NIT Silchar will offer you a better campus and infrastructure. Ultimately, you need to choose between them based on your personal preference.
Which is better for CSE, NIT Patna, Silchar, or Raipur regarding placement?
In my opinion, choosing NIT Raipur is the best for CSE. CSE branch requires inculcating skills that will give you an upper hand in placements. The faculty, curriculum, and the institute do not matter much. That being said, NIT Raipur seems to be the best option because it has flexible attendance policies. You might lose a few marks in your TA if you skip classes often but trust me that doesn't really matter in the long run. You will be preparing yourself for something big in exchange.
