The answer to this question depends on you. It is up to you whether you are interested or not. If you are passionate enough about practical learning then you will have to take an initiative, you will have to work hard on it. The faculty will definitely help you with it.
Both colleges facilitate project-based learning. As far as I know, the students work on major projects for the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering. After the first year of engineering, you will be engaged with projects in each semester which will be very exciting and full of practical application-based learning.
Apart from all these, certain events and competitions organized by the college provide a platform for you as a student to exhibit and flaunt your talent and knowledge and win rewards as well!

Which college will polish my communication skills better, CGC Landran or Thapar?
Colleges like CGC Landran and Thapar are the best and most reputed colleges in the country. Although, if comparing between both of them, according to my friends at CGC Landran, they have more opportunities and exposure. You could get and utilize it to improve your communication skills.
- CGC Landran and the best academics conduct various competitions and events regularly so that a student can build up his/her personality and communication skills.
- The literary events such as group discussions, debate competitions, guest lecturers, talent hunts, and many other events are held regularly.
- Thapar University provides the best academics as the faculty in the institute is quite good but they don’t focus on communication skills.
Hence, for improving communication skills and overall personality development, a student should prefer CGC Landran over Thapar University.
Does CGC Landran use projectors and slides in a B.Tech in CSE to teach? Do they use smart classes and slides?
My sister recently graduated from CGC Landran and has better information about the teaching techniques employed at the institute. Here is what she had to say.
In the first year of college, the teachers do not use projectors a lot and they just give the students notes for the subjects.
In the second year, the syllabus starts getting tougher and the length of the chapters in subjects also increases as the core subjects get included. It becomes a challenge to complete the syllabus in time. That is the reason why second year onwards teachers mostly give notes and teach from PPT Slides to cover up the syllabus.

CGC Landran, while a good university, does not offer any programs in B Tech chemical engineering. Students can opt for any other B.Tech programs in Mechanical, Computer Science, or Electronics and Communication Engineering at CGC.
DCRUST Murthal offers a program in Chemical Engineering. Some of the specifics regarding the same are mentioned below:

- In order to be eligible for admission at DCRUST Murthal, students will have to provide JEE MAIN scores and pass 10+2 grade with 75% and physics, math or biology and chemistry as their subject.
- Admission is mainly made on the basis of inter-se-merit of JEE MAIN.
