One of my friends is an alumnus of IET Lucknow, and according to him, IET Lucknow has no official dress code in particular. You can wear casuals. At the beginning of the first year, there is an induction program of 21 days where the college suggests having a dress code. But nobody adheres to this rule. However, in the Electrical department, students need to wear shoes instead of slippers.
But just because there is no dress code does not mean you can come to the college wearing inappropriate clothes. It is better to put on presentable clothes that reflect your personality and who you are.
If you have secured a seat at IET Lucknow, then you must have performed well academically. Now, when shifting your concern to the fee structure, then you will have to pay an amount of around INR 52,825 as the primary tuition fee. Alongside the tuition fees, if you are planning to opt for a hostel in the later stage, then it can amount to at least INR 10,500.
Besides the tuition fee and your subsequent hostel fees, you also have to follow up with the submission of a certain security fee as well, which amounts to at least INR 5,000, forming a subtotal of INR 63,325 + INR 5,000.
Other than that, if you have secured a fee waiver seat, then you might have to pay about INR 23825 as the tuition fees alongside the charges mentioned formerly, forming a subtotal of about INR 34,825 + INR 5,000.
If you get at least 75% in UPTU, you can easily get into IET Lucknow. Both CS and IT courses are variations on the same theme, dealing with computers and programming. IT is on par with the CS department. You will be hired if you know how to code. It is your skill set and what you can offer the company that makes the difference, not your branch.
And hard work, guidance from seniors, and the tech culture all play important roles in developing the skill set.
Students who join IET Lucknow tend to have higher ranks in JEE (Mains) than JIIT Noida. But JIIT Noida is mostly preferred by students, here’s why:
Location
Quality of Education
Placements
Being a government-run college, IET has far fewer restrictions than JIIT Noida which appeals to many students. But it lacks in personality development and other exposures which you will get at JIIT Noida.
Now that you have known about both the colleges, I think you can clearly understand yourself and make a choice according to what you need.
IET Lucknow, also known as the Institute of Engineering and Technology, is a premier engineering college in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college has a good reputation for its engineering programs, and it also has a good placement record. Here's some information about the average package and percentage of placements at IET Lucknow:
In conclusion, IET Lucknow has a good placement record, with a high percentage of students getting placed every year in top companies in India and abroad. The average package offered to students at IET Lucknow is around 4-6 LPA, and students also get opportunities for internships and entrepreneurship.
IET Lucknow is a pretty old college. As it is quite old you cannot expect the infrastructure to be in a good state even though there is lots of maintenance. My sister used to be a student of IET and here is some of her insight on the institute.
Though IET is an old college, it is Government College and cost-effective. The one who doesn’t get into IITs or NIT’s for some reason can join IET. ECE and CSE are most reputed in IET.
If you are appearing for the B.Tech admissions, then you can undeniably enroll via Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE).
Following your choice, you will be informed about the colleges or institutes you will obtain admission in.
According to my friends from IET, the sports facilities on campus are decent. Every hostel has been equipped with one TT table, alongside one Badminton court. In fact, there is the provision of a main ground inside the college campus where you can play different forms of sports, such as football, cricket, and several other outdoor games.
Alongside the available football and cricket ground, the college also offers one lawn tennis court. Students also enjoy the sports fest conducted every year by the college community, inviting several outside teams to compete.
If you have the skills, then you can also get the opportunity to represent the college in the sports fest of IITs and other colleges.
IET Lucknow is a government college and the students there have cracked some difficult competitive exams and bagged seats through good ranks. This also gives you the added assurance that the students you will come across are very capable.

After looking at these points, it is suggested that you go for IET Lucknow rather than ABES. But ultimately you decide to choose. So choose wisely as this may shape your future.
IET Lucknow is among the top-rated institutes in the country that is affiliated with Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) while MMM Gorakhpur has been reconstructed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
There is no such huge difference between IET Lucknow and MMM Gorakhpur. The quality of the faculties and the college infrastructure is good in both of these colleges. As per the GATE score and IES, the ratio of students of both of these colleges who qualify for the entrance exams is the same every year.
The main difference among both of these institutes lies in terms of placements. Here are the placement highlights.
| Particulars | IET Lucknow | MMM Gorakhpur |
| Highest CTC | INR 36 LPA | INR 8 LPA |
| Average CTC | INR 5 LPA | INR 3.5 LPA |
| Top recruiters | Amazon, Unacademy, D E Shaw & Co, Barclays, Code Nation, Go Speedy Go, Yamaha, Humming Wave, etc. | TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, Wipro, Juspay, Prism cement ltd, Global logic, etc. |
The difference seen in placements is due to the number of companies that visit the college, IET is near to NCR region and due to its location, it has better placements than MMMUT.
