How are the hostel rooms in AIIMS Bhopal?
The hostel facilities at AIIMS are quite good. The rooms are complete with an outward-facing personal balcony. They provide all required furniture, i.e. a wooden cot with a big sliding drawer underneath, a study table, a three-drawer mini self, and a low side table. There are shelves for your books and an elaborate cupboard for all your belongings too.
How is life at AIIMS Bhopal and Bhubaneshwar?
I have a few pieces of information on life at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. My friend is a second-year M.B.B.S. student there and shared her experience of her first year.
- To begin with, she was amazed by the huge diversity of the students here as she got to interact with students from all over the country and felt the cultural differences to the core.

- sports also play a major role in your college life and AIIMS Bhubaneswar has it all set with its sports facilities like a gym, basketball court, football ground, table tennis, and badminton.
Life at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is always chirpy and dynamic and you won’t ever feel out of place or bored. There is a great balance between academics and extracurriculars to give you the perfect college-life experience.
Which AIIMS should I prefer, Jodhpur or Bhopal?
You should prefer AIIMS Jodhpur. It offers better academics and teaching. The college location is good, it's hardly 2-3 km from the city. AIIMS Jodhpur has a computerized patient management system which makes it easier to conduct research in OPD and IPD settings. Among the new AIIMS, it has the maximum number of PG seats.
Spots facilities of the campus are top notch. There are separate grounds for football and cricket, 2 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 2 hockey grounds, 3 tennis courts, and the indoor games facilities are good as well.
Is AIIMS Bhopal better than AIIMS Bhubaneswar (after AIIMS Delhi)? What about AIIMS Jodhpur?

No, AIIMS Bhubaneshwar does not permit its students officially to go to the US for clinical experience during the last 1-year internship. There aren't any separate or paid leaves that enable you to avail of this opportunity. However, if you are adamant about going abroad, you can go during vacations or extend your internship. However, one must bear in mind the fact that most electives are of a minimum duration of 1 month so you should balance both things well.
Most medical colleges in India don't allow their interns to take a paid leave for pursuing a thing like this so you should do more research on this. As for JIPMER, I have no information in that regard.
What is better AIIMS Raipur, SCB Medical College, or AIIMS Bhopal?
It is recommended that you choose a national institute such as AIIMS. When deciding between Bhopal and Raipur, it is recommended that Raipur be chosen over Bhopal.
If you live in Odisha, Raipur appears to be a good option (though many would argue that Bhopal is better connected), followed by BBSR.Bhopal was previously thought to be the top AIIMS after Delhi, but with time, it has been discovered that there isn't much difference between the newer AIIMS; in fact, news of chronic faculty shortages has surfaced at Bhopal. Raipur, on the other hand, has shown consistent progress in almost all arenas—academic and otherwise. The only reason Raipur isn't a top choice is that people perceive Chhattisgarh as a Naxal state that is backward in comparison to others, which is absurd.
