The Candidate should have passed 10+2 from Science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities etc. (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB Diploma (of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva, Switzerland), IGCSE (University of Cambridge) or their equivalent as can be stated/or established by Association of Indian Universities(AIU), www.aiuweb.org)) securing aggregate 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Candidates who have their 10+2 results pending will be provisionally admitted subject to furnishing the certificates when available.

B.Des. program at MIT WPU started in 2018 July. Therefore, we do not have placement history as of now. However, the design department will leverage on the design requirements of all those companies that have been visiting MIT WPU for placements since the last 37 years for campus recruitment. Following is some information on the placements of the students of other disciplines at MIT WPU last year.

Cancellation Policy

• Candidate shall apply for cancellation in due format available with MIT – WPU and submit signed copy of application in person or send through email mentioned in the Application Form to the concerned Head of School/Department of MIT –WPU
• After receiving an admission cancellation request from the candidate, the Head of the concerned school/department of MIT –WPU shall recommend the case and forward the case to the Registrar through the Dean, Admissions for canceling the admission immediately. The admissions section shall give the acknowledgement of cancellation of admission to the student and a copy of the same will be sent to the concerned school for records.

MIT ID is a different University than MIT WPU. This difference is reflected in the different course structures of their B.Des program. This course structure is available on the website of each University.

Through our B.Des program, we offer world-class design expertise that can help you become a skilled creator of tomorrow. We have designed this program to strike a good balance between vocation and theoretical approaches. This will help you get a good hands-on and scholastic exposure, which is necessary to outshine in the industry. At MIT-WPU, we also believe in active learning in which students take the central place in the Teaching Learning process. Students learn with the help of real life problems posed through Problem/Project Based Learning. There is a strong industry connection developed over the last three decades. Tracks for specialization are available that expose students to Industry4.0 and related skills. Choice based credit system, personal mentoring, and strong industry connect along with focus on overall personality development through the peace modules and international/national level exposure makes B.Des. at MIT-WPU a unique experience.

Yes, although the student should actively work towards building a good work portfolio for attracting prospective organizations for internships. In addition to this the work/people meetings across Rural immersion programs, National tour and International (optional) should be put to good use.

Students with the following Qualification:

• • BA(Political Science/Public Administration/Sociology…etc.) is a theoretical course where there is minimal exposure given to students towards practical aspects of functioning of government, active participation in policy making and research or preparation for UPSC competitive examination.
  • The BA Honours (Govt Admn) degree program focuses on the experiential, facilitative and case study method of learning whereby the students are exposed to a participative mode of learning.
  • The highlights are –
  1. Interaction with Eminent Bureaucrats, Political Leaders, Social Activists, Academicians, Media persons and Legal Practitioners.
  2. Practical inputs will be in the form of a lot of field assignments like - projects on social causes.
