Both AIIMS Patna and AIIMS Raipur are good and bad in their respects.

• It has its helipad in case the transfer of emergency patients or border soldiers is required
• The Operation Theatre at AIIMS Patna has advanced molecular technology
• There are 3T MRI machines- the latest model with advanced facilities like fMRI, MRS, and DTI
• In Interventional Radiology, all kinds of complex procedures are performed 
• Biplane Digital Subtraction Angiography Suite- The most advanced machine worldwide with the latest accessories and software is present at AIIMS Patna

HOSTELS

• Hostels are provided with single rooms. The food at the mess is also good. 
• Hostels are provided with 24*7 electricity, water, and free wifi facilities
• In case of power cuts, generators have been provided
• The hostellers are given a bed(with attached drawer), mattress, study table, bedside table, chair, almirah, bookshelf, and cupboard

ACADEMICS

•  The faculty is learned and helpful
• Classrooms are provided with centralized AC
• Patient load in AIIMS Patna is much more in comparison to all the other AIIMS that started in the year 2012 alongside it

On the other hand, even AIIMS Raipur is as good a choice. AIIMS Raipur is ranked at 49th position in the NIRF India Rankings 2022:Medical.

Choose according to your preferred location. Both institutes will offer you immense knowledge and expertise.

As one of my friends is from AIIMS Raipur, I have some knowledge about it. Let me share some of the facts of AIIMS Raipur:

• Many students claim that Raipur is a better place to stay than Patna.
• The academics here are really good and are constantly updating.
• The faculties are highly experienced and very cooperative.
• The faculties even come up with certain tips and tricks which help the students to easily remember theories or experiments.
• The first year MBBS students are housed in 3 BHK flats with each room shared by 5 students. 
• The 3rd year students get single rooms with attached bathrooms, if there is vacancy. If not, 2 students live on a sharing basis.
• All the necessary facilities are available, like 24hrs hot water supply, etc.

The college organizes functions for various occasions. Students get to witness marathons, dance events, streetplays, and all sorts of cultural and sports activities. Therefore students at AIIMS Raipur are quite well off.

Many students are confused while choosing their AIIMS College. AIIMS Raipur is usually ranked low in the list of 2012 implemented AIIMS.So firstI will address the misconceptions that l led to this conclusion:

• People think that the hostel is far from the campus. When in reality you will be staying in the residential complex. You can come to the campus easily via a bus. Also you will be free from the fear of seniors. Also after a year you will be given single rooms at the hostel itself.

• To have a look at its infrastructure, people refer to its old pictures which are misleading. The college and hostel are in fact massive and house thousands of students.

• There is a rumour that AIIMS Raipur campus is incomplete. In reality, a dental college is being constructed.

• People assume that since it’s located in Raipur, the crowd is also below average.

The only flaw is that the city needs development. All AIIMSs get equal funding and faculty distributed evenly. Yet AIIMS Raipur is underrated.

The reason why students prefer AIIMS Raipur to AIIMS Patna is because of its modern day facilities and high quality education.

• The hostel services are exceptionally good. The rooms are hygienic and well furnished.

• It is located barely 15–20 minutes from the heart of the city of Raipur, which has enough places to hang out.

Raipur city is now among the fast developing cities of India and you won’t regret joining this college.

It is widely held that the Mumbai work structure is extremely beneficial and makes you more confident and open.

GSMC has a bond, so you must work for a year after graduation, whereas AIIMS does not have a bond. As one of the most prominent leading institutes in Maharashtra, GSMC has excellent technical infrastructure. It has a higher patient flow, which is very important. It also has more advanced clinical departments. The faculty is an incredible and enthusiastic supporter. It is affiliated with other BMC colleges, giving you more opportunities, and it is also affiliated with prestigious institutions such as Tata Memorial and Wadia Hospital.

AIIMS Raipur is a good choice because of the AIIMS brand, infrastructure, and smaller batch size, but GSMC is still suggested.
