Admission Procedure:

• The basic eligibility criteria for admission to ECE at Brainware University 60% in class 10 examinations and 55% in class 12 examinations
• The selection criteria for B. Tech at this university are required to qualify the WBJEE examinations along with JEE Mains and must have secured 45% marks in PCM for the class 12th examination
• Also, the selections are made on the ranking that a student secures in the Brainware University Entrance Test.

Facilities:

Placement:

The Placement Cell at Brainware University is highly efficient as they help the students at every step of the placement process. They provide soft skill classes throughout the year to prepare for the interviews. 

• ECE has a placement record of 80%.
• Companies such as PwC, ICICI, TCS, Wipro Berger Paints, Capgemini, Nestle, and Reliance come for placements for ECE students
• The placement package offered by recruiting companies ranges between 3.5LPA and 12LPA.

The college is very well-known for its placement record as it has an active placement cell which strives to achieve a perfect placement rate, making it a go-to college for those interested in placements. If you are keen on studying in West Bengal this college is a good choice as it is ranked highly in the state.

Some of my friends at Brainware University mentioned that it is not mandatory to stay on campus. You can accommodate outside as in a rented flat or in paying guests.

The University is having hostels separate for both girls and boys. But yes, living in the hostel has some benefits such as –

• You can enjoy benefits like the free wi-fi connection, gym facility, 24 hours ATM facility.
• You do not have to go anywhere. You will find everything in one place.
• Students will get proper meals including breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.
• Each and everything will be available in the hostel only. This saves time for your studies also. As you do not have to go here and there to get some daily necessities.

Overall, it will feel like home where you have to wake up, get ready for your classes, take your meal and enjoy the rest of your day.

Pune Institute of Business Management(PIBM) is one of the premium business schools in the country. The college has received various accolades such as the Best Education Brands 2018 by The Economic Times and Best Emerging Institute of India by BBC Knowledge. The fees for the course is 3.10 lakhs for a period of two years.

Admission Procedure

• Brainware: The prerequisite to apply for this course at Brainware is securing 50% in graduation in BCA or any course having mathematics. Further, students are required to appear for CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ WBJEEMAT or any other entrance of national importance. Students are finally selected on the basis of the GD & PI round.

• PIBM: The prerequisite for applying to MBA at PIBM is scoring 50% marks in graduation. Further, students are selected on the basis of CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/PMAT examinations.

Facilities

• Brainware: The college is built over a large 9-acre campus. The college has a huge library with a rich collection of journals, magazines, research reports, and videos. The college also has separate in-campus boys and girls hostels and a number of laboratories. The college also provides a gym, sports facilities, recreation rooms, cafeterias, and shuttle service for students. The campus is also equipped with Wi-Fi facilities.

• PIBM: The college is built over a 2.5-acre campus. The college has a library, hostels, sports facilities, cafeteria, laboratories, and a gym. The college also provides hostel facilities for its students.

Placements

• Brainware: Companies such as PwC, ICICI, TCS, and Wipro come for placements for MBA students. Nearly all students are placed before the final examinations and those without a placement offer are given special attention by the placement cell of the college. The average package at the college is 2.5LPA.

• PIBM: The company has a placement rate of 80%. Companies such as Amazon, IDBI, Godrej, and Reliance come for placements. The average package offered is 7LPA, with the highest package going up to 17LPA.

Brainware University scores higher on the basis of infrastructure and facilities offered. However, PIBM has better ranking and higher placement packages. Those interested in better placements should opt for PIBM. However, those not interested in bagging placements via the college can pursue MBA from Brainware. Preferences of the city should also be taken into account before making a decision.

Like any other university, there are many clubs, committees, special interest groups, and societies at Brainware University. Some of the popular clubs are - Communications club, Photography club, Technology club.

These clubs regularly conduct various events, competitions, and interesting workshops to keep people invested as well as bring in news, new ideas, and innovations to the table.

A few of my friends graduated from Brainware University. According to them, yes, it is a good choice. Brainware University is good for UG and PG courses in Multimedia, Brainware University.

• The course curriculum is updated.
• The brand Brainware is very old and reputed in teaching and training in Multimedia for almost 3 decades now.
• The top recruiting companies are alembic, Amazon, Berger Paints, Capgemini, Cognizant, Da Milano, Epic Research, Genpact, Indus, and Net Technologies, etc.

So in West Bengal, Brainware University will be a great choice for Multimedia science. It will be a wonderful experience.
