How are NIT-Jalandhar M.Tech placements?
NIT Jalandhar placements are good for M.Tech. According to the recent placement highlights, the average CTC offered for M.Tech branches is around INR 6 LPA. The highest CTC offered goes up to INR 10 LPA. Comparably CSE has a better placement record. Adobe, Oracle, OYO, Intel, L&T, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
What are some great things about NIT Jalandhar?
- Hostel Life: NITJ's hostel life should be admired. There, one learns how to live life by helping others, managing personal expenditures, negotiating, and so on.
- Green Campus: The vast majority of students are very interested in exploring the campus each day. The campus is well-equipped and includes a green belt.
Why is PEC losing its good ranking? Is it true that NIT Jalandhar will cross it within a few years??
PEC's previous director wasn’t a very good educationist. The infrastructure, curriculum and the extracurriculars suffered under his leadership.
But things have changed in PEC now. The new director has the opposite ideals. There has been a gradual increase in the quality of education at PEC. Some changes are:

How is girls hostel at NIT Jalandhar?
NIT Jalandhar has three girls' hostels.
GH1 - First year students are given accommodation in GH1. It has double sharing and four-sharing rooms. GH1 has a mess inside the hostel and it provides breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. GH1 has LAN facilities. It has a tv room and a reading room.
GH2 - Second-year students are accommodated in GH2. It has two seater and four seater rooms. The mess facilities are similar to that of GH1. Most BTech students are allotted four-seater rooms. The hostel y=timing is 10 pm. GH2 has both LAN and WiFi facilities.
MGH - Final year, third year and PhD students get accommodations in MGH. It only has double-sharing rooms. PhD students stay in one-seater rooms. MGH has WiFi facilities. The mess is combined with GH2.
Overall, the hostel accommodation at NIT Jalandhar is good.

- You'd almost certainly get a job.
NIT Raipur, why not?
- If you want to pursue higher education, NIT Raipur is a no-go.
- There are few opportunities for research.
- The brand name NIT does not help with the GRE.
- Higher education is entirely theoretical. Peers get together and must put in extra effort to gain hands-on experience.
- The syllabus is not focused on the current business world.
Why choose IIIT Jabalpur?
- It would teach you CSE from the first year, unlike other NITs, which require you to study common subjects like chemical, civil, and mechanical engineering.
- The placement scenario is nearly identical to that of NIT Raipur. However, it will improve as IIIT Jabalpur improves.
- There will be far more research opportunities than at NIT Raipur.
- The brand name may be beneficial for the GRE.
- The IIIT experience is more enriching than the NIT experience.
- IIIT Jabalpur has a competitive coding culture.
Why not IIIT Jamshedpur?
- The students have stern words for IIIT Jabalpur.
- The situation is similar at NIT Raipur but much more serious.
- Jabalpur is not a pleasant city to visit.
- It is in the lower echelons of IIITs that Extra-curricular activities are not spectacular.

The choice of the branch is more important than choosing the institute because it determines and shapes your career. If you are interested in working in a PSU or have an interest in Electronics, choose ECE but if you have no such inclinations choose CS, the most diverse field. There are two main differences between IIITs and NITs
- IIITs are relatively new and may not have a very extensive alumni network while NITs are aged old and have an elaborate network.
- NITs provide diverse specialization in various fields while IIITs only focus on Computer Science education.
Based on the placement scenario and the academics, here is the preference order I would suggest you follow while making your choice
NIT Jalandhar CSE>IIIT Jabalpur CSE>NIT Raipur CSE>NIT Kurukshetra ECE>NIT Hamirpur ECE> NIT Jamshedpur ECE

How good is ICE at NIT Jalandhar?
ICE at NIT Jalandhar is one of the most reputed branches in the terms of placements as well as in the aspect of GATE. I have a friend in the 2018 ICE batch at NIT Jalandhar. In 2018, the GATE IN topper was from the ICE branch at NIT Jalandhar. Also, nine students of ICE were Under 100 in GATE 2018.
Faculty: The faculties are very good, supportive, and dedicated.
Campus life:
The campus life is very happening. Various cultural and technical events are being organized for the students. If interested you can join the Robotics club and DAKSH (Solar car manufacturing team). The labs and lecture halls are air-conditioned and well equipped with smart boards and other facilities.

How is NIT-Jalandhar for CSE now?
NIT Jalandhar is a reputable university. Not particularly extraordinary or so. It's just a quiet campus with standard instruction where CSE graduates have a good placement rate. It gradually lost its allure. It used to be one of the best NITs, but lately, it has declined.
However, it is still a very good college, with CSE, in particular, being a particularly lovely and developed branch.
Which is better for CS/ECE NIT Hamirpur, NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Kancheepuram, IIIT Jabalpur?
Keeping in mind the academic environment and placement statistics, the following should be the preferences:
CSE at NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Jalandhar, and IIIT Kancheepuram.
ECE at NIT Hamirpur, ECE at NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Kancheepuram, and then IIIT Jabalpur.
Choose a college with a broadband internet connection in the hostels for CSE. In general, the faculty at all of these colleges will be mediocre, and you will be forced to rely on the internet for your education. Once the CSE and hostel broadband requirements have been met, consider which college is closer to home, near a city, and not in a country where you do not speak the native language.
