These are the major highlights of all the four top colleges, having good campus life and offering decent placement opportunities to its students. It's your turn to decide now.
It is unclear as to what direct admission means. If you mean without JEE Main, then I don’t think it’s possible. DAIICT admission is done on the basis of scores in JEE Main or GUJCET. The admission process is conducted on two levels -
As far as the 12th percentage is concerned, I don’t think there is any fixed percentage so you might get admission with 58% marks.
Although DA-IICT is unquestionably better than Nirma, Nirma is more well-known in Gujarat and other regions since it is older than DA-IICT. But DA-IICT has made a huge development in aspects like academic excellence, infrastructure, faculty, etc. The reasons for choosing DA-IICT are mentioned below:
DA-IICT offers a compelling opportunity for a solid academic foundation, good placement statistics, and a dynamic learning environment that is ideal for being a better choice than Nirma University.
IIITM, Gwalior, and DAIICT, Gandhinagar are two institutes of technology in our country. Both the institutions have been accredited by NAAC and DAIICT is graded ‘A’ by the same. IIITM is even approved by AICTE, while DAIICT is approved by UGC. IIITM is ranked 100th out of 300 in India by NIRF for BTech. Whereas, DAIICT is ranked 111th out of 300 in India for the same.
Admission:
Both IIITM and DAIICT accept admission based on past academic performance and scores in relevant entrance exams.
B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA, Ph.D., B.Tech. + MBA, etc. are among the popular courses at IIITM.
Whereas, DAIICT offers B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Des., M.Sc., Ph.D., etc.
Infrastructure and Facilities:
IIITM: The institute offers hostels with modern facilities, labs, lecture theatres, libraries, computational facilities, auditorium, sports, yoga, canteen, common room, etc. It hosts a number of cultural events throughout the academic year.
DAIICT: The institute offers a number of facilities to its students that include a 16000 sq. ft. library, IT labs, 7 food courts serving a variety of cuisines, etc.

DAIICT: The Reliance merit scholarships, DAIICT merit scholarships, and DAIICT merit-cum-means scholarships are offered to the students.
Placement Statistics:
IIITM:
90% of students were placed in top recruiting companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, EY, Google, Goldman Sachs, etc.
The highest and average packages offered were 42 LPA and 14.58 LPA, respectively.
DAIICT:
90% of students were placed in top recruiting companies such as Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.
The highest and average packages offered were 39.3 LPA and 10.16 LPA, respectively.

DAIICT: DAIICT graduates pursue higher education in institutes like IIT and also in universities abroad such as the University of Florida, the University of California, etc. DAIICT graduates are in top positions at organizations such as Hewlett Packard and Ericsson India.
Both IIITM and DAIICT are well-known institutions, and interested individuals must do research for both before choosing one, and take into account other deciding factors as well.
My brother was in the same fix a few years back. After considering various factors he chose IIITM. Here are some of the reasons why he opted for IIITM.
Here’s what you should know about the placements and fee structure of the three institutes.
|
College name |
Placement (Average Salary) |
Fees (first-year fees) |
|
DA IICT |
INR 9.5 to 10 LPA for ICT graduates |
INR 1.97 lakhs |
|
IITDM |
INR 9.9 LPA |
INR 1.38 lakhs |
|
IIITM Gwalior |
INR 24.33 LPA |
INR 1.49 lakhs |
Last but not the least, do not keep faculty as one of your deciding factors. This can be hugely misleading. Visit the official websites of the institutes, weigh in the factors important for you, and choose accordingly. Both these institutes have their advantages.
Currently, DAIICT is definitely better than IET, Ahmedabad. It is well-developed and offers a competitive environment to the students. Whereas, IET is still in its development phase.
Although IET has made great strides over the past few years, it will have time for it to be on the same level as DAIICT. For ICT, the best colleges in Gujarat are DA-IICT, IET, PDPU.
A few of my friends pursued CSE at NIT Raipur and DA-IICT, and here are some tips for you, based on their experience.
DA-IICT is a better choice and the reasons are as follows.
However, at the NITs, you have to study Physics and Chemistry again and subjects like Engineering Drawing that have no relevance with Computer Science as the first year are common amongst all branches. Only the top three NITs- NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, and NIT Surathkal are better than DA-IICT.
DAIICT is a better option compared to NAIT Surathkal Mining. It offers better placements in comparison. Here are the placement highlights for 2022.
| Parameters | Statistics (2022) |
| Average CTC | INR 16.06 LPA |
| Highest CTC | INR 54.22 LPA |
| Total no of students placed | 435 |
If you find computers and electronics interesting, you will like studying DAIICT. Gujarat is a great place to stay as well.
All the Colleges are considered to be among the best colleges to pursue Computer Science in India. All the Universities offer experienced faculties from subject backgrounds and have well-equipped full-fledged laboratories to carry out academic and research works.
Admission:
BITS-Hyderabad offers a BE program for CSE. Whereas, NIT Surathkal, DTU, and DAIICT offer BTech CSE. BITS-Hyderabad accepts admission based on BITSAT scores. NIT Surathkal, DTU, DAIICT accepts admission for BTech CSE through JEE Mains.
