Acharya Institute of Technology provides good placements within the ECE department. Mostly the IT companies visit very often and recruit ECE students only. Around 90 - 95% of the eligible students get placed. And many students get off-campus placements too.

Faculty:

The faculty within the CSE department at Acharya Institute are good and highly supportive.

Placements:

• The institute observes a high number of companies as part of its recruitment drive for jobs and internships.
•  Being located in Bangalore, students will also have to be very proactive about seeking jobs.
• Many institutes conduct open drive opportunities for students to interact with and gain access to representatives from top companies. 
• Apart from that, there are also multiple online portals like Elitmus and others that help students and guide them through recruitment processes.
• In order to be eligible for this, you will have to appear for a separate examination and score good marks in it.

This information is for AIT and institutes that are similar in ranking to AIT. However, the faculty and placements of the institute cannot be compared to others like RV or MSRIT.

Someone I know attended the institute and her experience was not that good. 

The majority of the degree holders from this institute and similar institutes are shifted to the position of clerks in the companies based on services; companies that are under the officials of the institute. This happens because there is no concept of placement in such institutes.

The Acharya Institute of Technology is a four-tier institute and as it is usual for four-tier institutes in India, this institute also holds pool campus placements.

Placement is only a possibility when an engineering company is in need of engineers who are skilled and look for such individuals in different colleges, often offering packages of 60 LPA to the successful candidates.

Most degree holders from four-tier colleges work as clerks in the services-based companies with a package of about 2-3 LPA.

AIT's Aeronautical Engineering department has a placement rate of 20% which is low as compared to the CSE and IT departments. Although it does have an 80% internship rate. AIT's CSE department saw a 13% rise in placements from 2017-2020, being the highest recruited department with a placement record of 49% which increased from 2018's 37%.

When talking of Bangalore, it definitely is the IT hub, and starting your career here will definitely give you great exposure when you come from a computer science background. PES, BES, and Acharya Institute are among the top-notch colleges in Bangalore and will definitely add to your career.

• People Education Society University (PES) and Bharat Education Society University (BES) are both autonomous colleges that set up high standards for the universities and the students applying for it have to go through internal exams to get in.

• Acharya Institute of Technology is affiliated to VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) and approved by the AICTE. Acharya is also accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation).

Campus:

All three institutes reside in the city of Bangalore; it will be a great opportunity for the locals as they have good options in picking up the college which provides exposure with people from across the country.

If we speak of universities outside Bangalore, then there are few colleges one can consider to move forward with where MIT Pune and KIIT Bhubaneswar are in the limelight. There isn't much to distinguish among the college infrastructure and fees. The crowd in both the universities comes from diligent areas as well as the faculty is well proficient in their respective fields.

Placements:

• The placement offers of both these universities (PES and BES) are up to the mark, making no significant difference. The average CTC offered for a PES student is around 6.8 LPA.

• Amazon, LT&T, Deloitte, Cisco, and Capgemini are the top recruits for PES Banglore. Microsoft, HP, and LG are the frequent recruiters of BMS Banglore. The other colleges on the list have mass recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS.

• If looking for a calm environment, one can pick up KIIT over MIT; but as Pune does provide better opportunities than Bhubaneswar, MIT wins over.

CMRIT is affiliated to VTU Belgaum and recognized by AICTE and NBA. It has recently placed 1,767 students in top and well-reputed companies with a salary package of INR 3.5 to 4.8 LPA. They have a student intake of 960 in UG and 102 in PG.

Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi with a faculty strength of 300 members. The student population is 4,432 across all the departments.

Facilities 

REVA University 

• Their library can accommodate 800 students.
• More than 20 clubs are there for the students recreation and education.
• Students are awarded scholarships for their rank obtained in KCET.
• Students obtaining 85-90% in their board exams are also eligible for scholarships.

CMRIT

• The institute has 89 well furnished classrooms and an auditoriumA library containing 23,000 books.
• The computer lab has 1486 PC’s.
• There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls accommodating 340 students.

AIT 

• They have a student strength of 4423 students across all departments.
• With a campus area of 120 acres, the institute has 12 hostels, 5 for boys 7 for girls accommodating 1500 students all over.
• They also provide sports, medical and library facilities.

All the above 3 colleges are equally good. It ultimately depends on the students, their preferences and also their scores in entrance exams. Based on that the students can choose for their preferred college.

As the question is specific about the CSE branch, Acharya Institute of Technology ( AIT ) would be a better option compared to CMR University in regard to placements. AIT was established a lot earlier than CMR University and functions as an autonomous body, while AIT is affiliated to VTU and ACITE norms.

Affiliation:

• Being a newly established and Autonomous institute CMR wouldn’t compete against AIT when it comes to placements and campus opportunities.

• AIT is not the only college with VTU affiliation, but also the Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSTAM). What makes DSTAM standout among these three is the number of placements it offers each year. With consistent placement records ever since its establishment, DSTAM has grown a lot during the past few years in terms of its reputation.

Admission:

• To be eligible for admission to Acharya Institute of Technology, one must appear in CET conducted by the Institute. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.

• Dayanand Sagar also conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission in B.E. programs. Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in their intermediate examination with PCM.

Placements:

• The average package of AIT would hover around 3.2 LPA where DSTAM would go up to 3.5- 4 LPA.

• Many top IT companies and few product-based software companies visit the DSTAM campus for recruitments each year.

• Pre-final year students of the colleges receive a lot of support from Alumni network inform of internship and job offers in their startups.

Fee Structure:

• Speaking of affordability both CMR and DSTAM cots much less than AIT, the former being just around 1 lakh per year, and the later is nearly 3 lakh per year.

• The fee need to be paid for AIT for the four-year degree is almost 12 lakhs.

We can say that both AIT and DSTAM would be good and compelling options to opt for when looking for computer science admission. To add further the campus of DSTAM is right in the heart of the city.

So, to conclude if placements are of high priority ( which of course should be for CSE ), then Dayanand Sagar is a clear choice, but if the fee structure doesn’t match your comfort then AIT should be the immediate choice.
