I wouldn't suggest you go for ECE IIT Roorkee unless you are genuinely interested in that field and want to pursue a career in it.
XLRI, Jamshedpur, and BITS Pilani are both highly recognized in their fields, but XLRI is not to B-schools what BITS Pilani is to engineering universities in India.
XLRI frequently ranks among India's top MBA programs. It emphasizes ethics and social responsibility and has a strong curriculum, faculty, and alumni network. XLRI's management programs include the two-year full-time PGDM and executive programs in various specializations.
BITS Pilani, a well-known Indian private engineering college, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs in engineering, science, technology, and management. Academics, research, and placements are BITS Pilani's strengths. One of the few Indian universities with a wholly residential campus, it is also appealing.
XLRI and BITS Pilani are reputable institutions with diverse focus and services. BITS Pilani offers more scientific, technology, and management programs than XLRI, which concentrates on management. XLRI has fewer students than BITS Pilani, which might make learning more personalized and intensive.
My brother used to be a student of BITS Pilani and from what he has heard; it is not a good institute for students who want to pursue pharmacy.
You should pursue pharmacy at BITS Pilani only if you have a strong background in physics, chemistry, and biology or you cannot get admission to some other institute.
Even if you do have a strong background in the three subjects, the chances of getting converted to a different stream are very low. You have to obtain a CGPA of or higher than 9.8. It is simply too high and getting a 257 just will not be enough.
On the other hand, BITS is a very reputed institute. It is highly praised by my friend and a lot of the students and former students as well. It is a very good institute but pharmacy is just not its forte. It would be better if you look for other institutes if you want to pursue pharmacy.
If you haven't received a branch in IIT Mandi or any of the old IITs for Electrical, don't even take a second thought about joining new IITs like ISM or BHU. The name "IIT" doesn't matter, it's the brand and quality that matters. And in this matter, BITS is way ahead of any new IIT/ISM/BHU.
Don't go for new IITs under the false impression that "They are also IITs." Ultimately, your career matters, not what anyone else thinks.
The name of the college is just one factor to consider when choosing a college. The quality of education, the faculty, the facilities, the placements, and other such factors are equally important. So, don't make a decision solely based on the name of the college.
Also, keep in mind that BITS Pilani has a great reputation and offers excellent opportunities for students. It has a strong alumni network, good industry connections, and a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. So, if you have the opportunity to join BITS Pilani for ENI, go for it without any hesitation.
Don't get swayed by the name of the college. Instead, focus on the quality of education and the opportunities that the college offers. And if you have the chance to join BITS Pilani, don't even think twice about it.
Choose what interests you. If you are interested in Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani is a great option. It offers decent academics and exposure. Core Chemical companies and oil companies recruit from the institute. Schlumberger, ONGC, Reliance, etc. are among the major recruiters for the branch. BITS Pilani placement highlights show the average CTC to be around INR 12 LPA for Chemical Engineering.
But if you are interested in Mechanical Engineering, you should choose PEC Chandigarh.
First of all, you need to understand what you want. Do you want higher education or a placement? Then ask yourself whether you want only computer science because you love the subject or simply because you want a good placement.

ENI and ECE are technically different branches but they are almost the same. Except for the high fee of BITS Pilani, I do not feel BITS Pilani or Goa campus is anything less worthwhile than NIT Calicut. In fact, if you want only placements, then BITS Pilani any campus should be your choice.
To answer your question depends on your area of interest. Each of the institutions that you have mentioned has their advantages. ISI Kolkata is known for providing the best opportunities to students who aim to pursue Data Science. It also has the best MTech CS for students who aspire to be Data Scientists. But if you aspire to be a developer, then ISI Kolata is not your best choice. BITS Pilani will provide you with the right curriculum to become a developer. Our college is known for providing a better scope when it comes to software development. You can also do some research if you still have some queries. There are many seniors and the alumni association is also very effective in these colleges. You can talk with them to clear out your doubts.
BITS Pilani offers a lot of extracurricular activities on the campus. It ranges from Sports, art, and music. There are multiple activities going on which give you a break from your loaded academics.
Apart from the above-mentioned things, you can go to movies with your friends screened in the auditorium every 2-3 weeks.
I can assure you that the culture at BITS Pilani is very good and there are a lot of activities to involve yourself in.
At BITS Pilani, study projects are an easy way to secure an ‘A’ in your elective. You can pick up a subject of your interest and do research on it for the rest of the semester.
