These are the major highlights of all the four top colleges, having good campus life and offering decent placement opportunities to its students. It's your turn to decide now.
Before making a final decision, you should consider the following factors
So, opt for DTU to get better exposure
As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. Also, NSUT has an excellent coding environment which will help you for your minor in Computer Science. Many students over there pursue coding, despite being from a branch other than IT/COE.
In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester. These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based.
Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.
According to the 2022 figures, 103 out of 120 registered students were placed from the MCE branch. A total of 138 offers were made. The average salary was INR 18.075 LPA and the highest salary offered was INR 64.23 LPA.
These placement figures are quite promising.
DTU has a good placement record. During the 2022 placements, the list of top recruiters that visited the campus comprised- Instabase, Atlassian, Sprinklr, Amazon, Alphonso, Microsoft, Adobe, and Samsung, among others.
Placement figures are important while selecting a branch and an institution. But also make sure that you actually enjoy the subject and do not solely choose based on the placement figures.
No, BIT Sindri is by no means better than DTU. DTU is considered to be one of the best institutes for technical studies across India. Students of BIT also agree to the fact that DTU is a better college.
The table below provides a brief level of comparison between BIT Sindri and DTU.

Key Highlights:
For candidates not getting DTU as an option, BIT Sindri is a good choice. It is considered better than many other institutes, but not DTU.
The answer to this question depends on the interests. It totally depends on the field of interest of the student.
If there is still a confusion about DTU for software Engineering and ECE at NSIT they can look at the college placements for that particular course.
Placements of Software Engineering at DTU and Communications engineering at NSIT:

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) |

Therefore, according to the placement averages and top companies that visit the college, Software engineering from Delhi technical university seems like a viable option. There is a wide wage gap that we can see in the tables mentioned above. Also, most of my batch mates also feels that software engineering in DTU is a better option as compared to ECE in NSIT.
CSD and IT have practically the same core subjects. You’ll have a similar curriculum in either of the options. Unless you have a strong interest in the design aspect of CSD, the choice is mainly between the two colleges.
IIITD is very research-oriented. It has state-of-the-art research labs and facilities. You’ll be exposed to dedicated and active research groups over there. Academics are taken quite seriously. You’ll study your subjects in depth for the next 4-5 years.
At DTU on the other hand, academics are very laid back. You’ll get lots of time for extracurriculars. You can polish your skills in the area of your interest.
If you are sure to build a future in Computer Science, join IIIT Delhi. But if you wish to explore yourself, and polish your skills in some other field, join DTU.

In subjects like CS or IT, DTU will provide you the best package. Other subject’s placement records are also good at DTU. But the most important thing is the choice of the individual. Go for a better subject rather than a college.
You should choose the college closer to your home. Both the colleges DTU and IIT Dhanbad are Tier-1 engineering colleges in India.

The more well-grounded and genuine way to become a Mechanical or Automobile Engineer in India is to become proficient in the GATE/ IES ME curriculum and participate in some competitive exams to secure a job in the government sector.
Mechanical engineering is getting outdated and people are not getting in any good place in India by doing Mechanical engineering. This program is even getting shut in various developed countries. So, choose wisely.
In my opinion, IT at DTU is a far better option than IT at NIT Surathkal. Here are some strong points in favor of my opinion
While both institutes are quite well-known, choosing DTU might open better opportunities because of its prime location and rich legacy.
