LPU Hosted Punjab State Largest Climate Clock Assembly

New Delhi: Lovely Professional University (LPU) hosted Punjab State’s largest Climate Clock Assembly & Display event on December 18, 2023. Prof Chetan Singh Solanki, the Solar man of India, talked about ‘Climate Crisis’, inspiring the students to reduce the rising global temperature for the sake of environment and future generations.

The event was organised by LPU in collaboration with Energy Swaraj and SwitchON. The main aim of the event was to raise awareness about the rising global temperatures and the need to take immediate action against it.

With the clock ticking down to only a few years from now, before reaching a global warming limit of 1.5°C; there is no more time to waste. In fact, Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Such shifts can be natural; however, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
