Delhi University Allocates Budget of INR 67.71 Crore to Set Up Free WiFi Across its Campuses

New Delhi: In recent news, Delhi University (DU) will be setting up Free WiFi networks for all of its students across its campuses. The WiFi network will span the north and south campuses of DU, the Dhaka Hostel complex and 90 colleges affiliated with DU.

DU has allocated INR 67.71 crore out of the INR 938.33 crore loan that the University took from the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA)

DU took the loan from HEFA in October 2023 to focus on development projects across its campuses. A share of the money received in the loan will also go towards constructing a new building for the Faculty of Technology.

The provision of free WiFi for students shows DU’s commitment to excellent academic development and a remarkable quality of student life. Students will be able to access the Internet for educational resources and recreation from anywhere in DU.
