New Delhi: Anant National University has entered into an agreement with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) to start a PG Diploma Program in Cultural Management.

The agreement was formalized at the IGNCA campus in New Delhi, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Culture. Additionally, the two institutions will engage in knowledge exchange pertaining to design, indigenous arts, and culture.

According to the terms of the agreement, Anant National University and IGNCA will collaborate on events and consider launching a program in cultural management and arts administration in the future.

The university stated that this partnership represents a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Its objective is to equip students with the skills necessary to adeptly manage and preserve cultural heritage in the dynamically evolving contemporary world, it further added.

Speaking about the partnership, Anunaya Chaubey, the provost of Anant National University, expressed excitement regarding their collaboration with IGNCA to create a comprehensive and holistic educational program covering culture, arts, crafts, architecture, and design.

Chaubey mentioned that the program will harmonize with contemporary demands and values. The university aims to nurture 'solutionaries' through interdisciplinary and collaborative learning, he added.

Anupa Lahiry, the regional head for IGNCA, said that the collaboration between IGNCA and AnantU is a significant fusion of two remarkable strengths. IGNCA's extensive work on the Samarangan Sutra of Raja Bhoj, an encyclopedia on Indian Architecture, aligns seamlessly with AnantU's internationally acclaimed architecture curriculum. This partnership holds paramount significance, breathing fresh life into the field of Indian architecture.
