This is a research master's program, students will have to complete a 120 point thesis, as carried out under the guidance of a supervisor, within the allocated time frame.
Students will familiarise themselves with theory and methodology in their postgraduate program. Topics such as optimization under uncertainty, and network design and simulation are common.
The broad, interdisciplinary nature of operations research makes it a field with the extensive variety it is utilized in many industries, with many opportunities arising continuously for new applications. As postgraduate students, their main challenge may involve finding new areas or aspects for them to contribute to.
