- MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the National University of Ireland is offered as a 9-months program by the College of Science and Engineering.
- This university is ranked #238 in the world as per QS World University 2021.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis only.
- The MEng has three primary elements: (i) advanced core modules in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, (ii) an individual capstone project, and (iii) modules on transferrable skills and personal development.
- The core Electrical and Electronic Engineering 5-credit advanced technical modules will be in topics covered by our research priorities of:
- Embedded Systems Design
- Signal Processing & Communications
- Power Electronics & Energy Conversion
- Biomedical, Biometrics and Bio-inspired Electronics
- Since 2013, the ME degree has been required to satisfy the educational requirements for progression to Chartered Engineer status.
- Graduates of the program will be capable of working in any branch of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, including consultancy and contracting.
- As a program that is targeted for accreditation, it will have international recognition at Level 9 through the Washington Accord.
- This program is offered within the new €40m Engineering Building, a 14,200 square meter, modern, energy-efficient facility, and the largest School of Engineering in the country.
- The building is equipped with an extensive range of high-tech electrical and electronic engineering laboratory facilities which have been designed for teaching and research.
- The program will be delivered by staff members who are world leaders in terms of research and industry interaction in the areas of power electronics, biomedical electronics, and signal processing.
- The MEng program consists of 60 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.6/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
