  • I found it via WhatsApp groups (Maharashtrians in Dublin - A whatsapp group), there are also other platforms like DNG housing website, Facebook groups but most effective is WhatsApp groups. I didn't go to any agent
  • My rent is around 650 euros a month excluding bills, All facilities like washing machine, WIfi, heating, fridge, electricity, separate bed and separate bathroom everything is available.
  • Many websites have fake accommodation, so don't book any permanent accommodation from India, go for temporary one, please do an online viewing if available to verify or send any friends for in person viewing. Don't send money to any fake ID or person
  • Go there and search and find  a good accommodation with correct documentation.
  • Most students stay in Private accommodations as student accommodations are very costly in Dublin. My accommodation is 30 mins by dart or bus  in South Dublin so its easy to commute to college.

  • I found my accommodation via a real estate agent. However, there are multiple online platforms and groups on social media, i.e., WhatsApp and Facebook, that can be looked for accommodation.
  • My monthly rent was around 550 € (a total of 2200 € for 1 Bhk) with the water bill included. However, electricity was charged extra as per use and came to around 50 € per person.
  • Challenges: Suitable apartments are difficult to find and more delays lead to an increased amount in student accommodation. In my case, I had to pay extra brokerage to secure my apartment apart from the deposit.
  • My recommendation would be students should look out as early as possible; however, do not fall for a scam and verify the landlord, real estate agent or any responsible person for the deal.
  • My apartment was 3 km away from the college campus. Most Indians choose student accommodation, which is situated near universities in most cases.

  • I mainly used an app called Daft, which is meant for rental apartments in Ireland, but I was lucky enough to find my accommodation through whatsapp groups. I would say whatsapp groups are the best way to get directly in contact with owners and landlords.
  • 550 per month was the monthly rent for my accommodation, including Wi-Fi and electricity .
  • It just took a lot of time and constant effort to find accommodation since I decided to go for a shared apartment since it would be way cheaper than a student accommodation.
  • I would say trying to find a shared apartment would be a better idea since you would be paying a lot less compared to a student accommodation, which would be around 1100 euros per month.
  • My accommodation is 20 kms from college; it takes me 35 to 40 minutes to go by train, but by car it is 20 minutes.
  • Most Indian students do stay near college, but they pay double the rent to save up on time and comfort.

  • Off Campus accommodation.
  • I had someone staying here as a family friend so they were kind enough to help me with a few people who were interested in renting their place.
  • Monthly rent is anywhere between 900-1200 euros, not disclosing the actual figures. Every facility is included in it.
  • My accommodation is 45 minutes by bus. It's not technically in Dublin, just a little outside of the Dublin border.

  • I found accommodation via friends who were already in Dublin. One of my friend was leaving dublin for India and I took over the lease agreement from him.
  • Monthly rent for 2 people:- 1400 euros all facilities like dishwashers, fridge, TV, washing machine, heater were included.
  • recommendations for future students:- Start finding accommodation early as there is a lot of crisis in finding accommodations, keep an eye out on scams which take place in rental properties. Also it's better if you can find contacts who can view properties for you in Dublin as that is the best way.
  • My accommodation is 25 mins walk from college but the rent is a bit on the higher side.

  • I opted for Off campus accommodation

  • I found it using online whatsapp groups and daft.ie website.

    Monthly rent is 850 €

  • Facilities included:

    Kitchen (Including Microwave and Toaster)
    Washing Machine

  • Challenges Faced were that there is high demand and low availability, accommodation would often get booked before you could get to confirm it.
  • I would recommend future students to look for accommodation through friends/family already living in Dublin.
  • My accommodation is around 4Kms away from campus.
  • There is no specific locality commonly used by Indian students, Although Dublin 8 is a popular location for Trinity Students to stay.

I chose this university as having good experience in an Insurance company back in India, I wanted to pursue my further education in the Risk Management field. Trinity was the best one to study in Ireland. Overall experience was positive, the college is very international with good infrastructure and facilities on campus. Good overall support was available to students for any problems faced during the course.
