The University of Regensburg offers 158 programs in German and English. In the Winter 2025-26, 3 programs – MS Computer Science, MS Data Science, and MS Human‑Centered Artificial Intelligence – will commence teaching. These programs will be taught fully in English. University of Regensburg Fee Structure

The University of Regensburg does not charge a tuition fee to its students. This is applicable to all the programs, and to domestic and international students. However, you need to pay a “Semesterbeitrag” or semester contribution each semester you are enrolled in. This fee involves a semester ticket for transportation purposes and a contribution towards the Student Unions for self-governance. The fee amounts to €198 (INR 19,800) for the Summer semester and €201 (INR 20,100) for the Winter semester.

Note: These fees are for the 2025-26 academic year. These are changed every 6 months by the German government, and there is only a slight difference in the Summer semester contribution. These fees do not include personal expenses.

University of Regensburg Admission Decision

University of Regensburg usually takes 3-4 weeks to arrive at the admission decision. After submitting the documents in the Campusportal application, the Registrar’s Office will first review your application. The status in the portal changes to “Valid” once all documents are received. If some documents are missing or additional documents are required, a notification will be received in the portal inbox. For some programs, like MS Physics and Data Science, faculty aptitude tests are also conducted.

The offer letter is posted in the university’s Campusportal, through which you have applied. No admission or rejection emails will be sent. You need to regularly check the Campusportal. If admitted, the offer letter will contain the next steps - accepting the offer, paying the semester fee, and enrolling online. The University of Regensburg does not provide conditional offers, so you have to meet every eligibility criterion prescribed and submit all the required documents with the application.
