To study at a German university, two prerequisites must be met: language skills and higher education admission or entrance qualification. First and foremost, the admission documents undergo a formal evaluation and after that, the actual evaluation and selection process begins.
The selection procedure involves an admissions committee that is made up of professors and academic staff of the applied program. The committee examines each application individually and decides which individuals will be admitted to the program. The university sends admission notification, acceptances, and rejections of bachelor's and master's applications with admission restrictions in mid-august.
All applicants who meet the admission requirements for master's degree programs with unrestricted admission are admitted. No notification is sent for unrestricted bachelor's degree admissions to the applicants. Applicants receive written notification of their admission decision, whether they are accepted or not.
