Aarhus University offers a structured and transparent admission process for international students. Applicants are required to meet both general academic qualifications and specific English language proficiency requirements. General Admission Requirements

• Successful completion of a recognized university degree equivalent to a Danish Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS).
• The degree must be relevant to the applied program.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:

• IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5.
• TOEFL (iBT): Minimum score of 83.
• Cambridge English Qualifications: Minimum score of 180.

English Proficiency Exemption Criteria (Previous Studies):

Applicants can be exempted from providing an English test score if they meet one of the following conditions:

• University Studies:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, USA, or Ireland, where the program was taught in English.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree taught in English from a Danish university (for admissions after 2008).
  • Three-year professional bachelor’s degree taught in English from a Danish university college.
• Upper Secondary Studies:
  • Danish upper secondary school with an English B level qualification.
  • Entrance examination equivalent to English B level from a Nordic or Duborg upper secondary school.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) with English Standard Level or European Baccalaureate (EB) from Schola Europaea.
  • German Abiturzeugnis with specific English subject levels (e.g., Leistungsfach or Profilfach), with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.0 on the Danish 7-point scale.
  • High school diploma from English-speaking countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or Ireland.
