The University of Edinburgh’s Business School and the University of Strathclyde’s Business School both have triple accreditation of MBA, AACSB, and EQUIS. The two UK schools are fairly similar in their popularity, so if one is confused about deciding between them, one must consider the following facts:

- Strathclyde conducts MBA programs in eight locations around the world, but the full-time course is only available at the main campus in Glasgow.
- Edinburgh has only 8 elective options on offer while Strathclyde has 25+.
- Edinburgh students only get a real-life project towards the end of their course, for which they have to write a 5000-word paper, while Strathclyde students get not only an MBA project at the end but also a number of mini-projects during their core modules.
- At Edinburgh, students have to pay 34,000 GBP in tuition fees, as well as additional costs for textbooks, the Capstone Project, and optional treks, although a print allowance and optional development weekends are included in the fee.
- At Strathclyde, students have to pay 31,450 GBP, which includes course materials, tuition fee for electives at optional study abroad, and tuition fee for optional summer school in Toulouse. However, travel costs have to be paid additionally by the students.
- Strathclyde has a lot more scholarship options than Edinburgh.
- Both schools provide accommodation, but only Edinburgh guarantees accommodation to postgraduate students (who meet certain criteria).
Although Strathclyde and Edinburgh are both ranked at #51 by the Financial Times European Business School Rankings 2020, students are recommended to choose Strathclyde, as the program is more holistic and cost-effective. The global opportunities are an added advantage.
