Master of Science (M.S.) in Computing – Program Overview

The M.S. in Computing at Queen’s University offers three pathways—research (thesis), project, and course-based—with 24 credits over 16–24 months. Admission requires a four-year Honours degree in Computing or related fields, a B+ average (≥3.25/4.3), and strong foundations in core CS topics. The program is selective, with an acceptance rate around 45%, and enjoys excellent outcomes, with nearly 97% of graduates employed or in further study within six months. English proficiency is required (TOEFL iBT 88, IELTS 7.0, or equivalent). Select internal and external scholarships, including OGS, are available.

Master of Science (M.S.) in Computing – Fees

Annual tuition is approximately CAD 6,500–7,000 for domestic and CAD 14,000–15,000 for international students. Ancillary fees add about CAD 1,000–1,200, with UHIP health insurance for international students at CAD 756/year. Total estimated cost: CAD 7,500–8,200 domestic, CAD 15,756–17,000 international.
