Admission Requirements

• Applicants must have a four–year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent (70-75%). 
• Minimum GRE score of 295 (if required).
• NOTE: For applicants without a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, the university offers a flexible pathway to complete the required prerequisite courses to make you eligible to apply to the cybersecurity program.
• Applicants with a GPA between 2.85 and 2.99 may be admitted with special approval. This can happen if they:

• Submit GRE scores of at least 295, with 75% or higher in quantitative reasoning
• Have a relevant master’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Have at least 2 years of related work experience
• Come from a country on New York Tech Vancouver’s diversity list

English Proficiency Score

• IELTS Overall band score of 6.5 (NOT GENERAL) with a minimum of 6.0 in Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. 
• TOEFL iBT 88 with a minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, 21 in Writing.
• Pearson PTE Overall 65; with a minimum 60 in Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
• Duolingo minimum overall score of 135 with no band less than 125.
