- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria is offered as a 4-years program by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineers direct their efforts towards the creation of physical or mechanical things, whether they be single components, complete machines, or complex processes.
- Mechanical Engineering rests on some basic principles: the effects of forces and energy on solids and liquids; the properties of materials; the design of mechanisms and manufacturing processes; and the integration of mechanical, electronic, and computer systems.
- As mechanical engineers, students will use their scientific knowledge, problem-solving, design, and teamwork skills to find solutions to real-world problems
- This exciting field includes innovative design for automotive, marine, and aerospace applications; intelligent robotic systems; biomedical devices; new tools; and processes to produce advanced materials, novel micro-and nano-devices, and clean energy systems
- The BEng program consists of a minimum of 75 units.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold Twelve years of academic preparation and one of the following:
- Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) awarded after Standard XII with 75% (conditional offer with 80% on Grade 10 results)
- Year 12 State Board Exams: Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC); applicants with excellent academic results will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Students must have a GPA of 5.0 on a scale of 9.0.
- Senior-level math course
- Senior-level physics course
- Senior-level chemistry course
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate with reputed institute with min 75%
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
