LOR
Tips to enhance your application
- 10th and 12th marksheets, Passport documents, IELTS, TRF, proper identity documents.
- Your preference of subjects and courses, English proficiency, graduation marksheets if graduated from India, and enough funds in the bank to pay college fees.
Admission Experience
- I chose Canada because it is one of the developed countries with exciting career opportunities and prospects.
- Also, I got selected in one of the top colleges, which acts as a great advantage in my CV.
- I am a commerce student so I opted for a diploma in accounting.
- My college is based in North York, Ontario, Canada. Seneca offers multiple career fairs for top-notch opportunities to students.
- Students also get a chance to do part-time work on campus. Professors are also very rational and supportive.
- They offer flexible and hybrid schedules for attending lectures. Campus is very huge and beautiful with lively vibes and a dynamic environment.
Class Schedule
- 4-5 days a week of classes I used to attend. Timings were 8 AM up to evening as per the schedules given.
- The average strength of class is 30-35 students; out of that, approximately 30% were Indians.
- Other than college, I used to study for 1-2 hours at home also to complete assignments as per the deadlines given to us.
Faculty
- Best was my accounts and economics faculty, who gave detailed understanding through PowerPoint slides and we used to be given assignments to complete related to topics they taught to us.
- Usually it is not difficult compared to studies we do in India. If you make good connections, they do help in getting jobs.
Campus Life
- Approximately 5 campuses were top-notch, including all amenities free for students or by paying a very minimal charge.
- Events and fests are very nice and enjoyable with diverse culture, as many international students from different countries come together for study and it is a very dynamic and learning environment.
Part Time Jobs
- The minimum wage rate here is $18 per hour for a student who is working part-time in Canada.
- It is easy to get part-time jobs through connections or agencies but very difficult to get hired for full-time jobs. You have to showcase your skills and upgrade yourself drastically to get appointed anywhere. Huge commitment is required.
- Most of the Seneca alumni get reputed jobs in diverse fields, whether it be accounts, human resources, information technology, etc., in reputed corporate firms and companies with a handsome pay.
- Even convocation is awesome and very lively. The way the president shakes hand with each and every student who plgot the transcripts.
Placement
- I am not exactly aware of this. Students here can use LinkedIn or Indeed to get selected.
- Students also get hired through agencies that call students as per the shifts available at different places like warehouses or restaurants like tim hortons, walmart, bubble tea, etc existing friends or family may also help.
Accommodation
- Recommendations can be marketplaces, Kijiji, etc., where you can check sharing or separate accommodations.
- Students generally stay in shared homes with shared amenities like kitchens and washrooms. But they are pretty decent.
- Some don't like to stay in basements due to cold weather here. But finding a good accommodation is not difficult here.
