Likes
- International Exposure - I got a chance to work with different culture people.
- On Campus Job Opportunities - I got a chance to work as Peer Tutor
- Leadership Learning - There are so many free sessions where you can learn leadership, improve your communication skills.
Dislikes
- Recorded Classes
- Lot of Unnecessary Assignments
- Not a big campus it's just a small college.
Required Exams for Admission
Course Curriculum
- It was not difficult but you have to complete the assignments, group projects on time otherwise you can fail the course.
- Positive affect was I have learned a lot about different countries export import procedure.
- Negative was its of no use in real life job scenario which lead to misleading information in finding jobs as they require professional certificates after doing the course.
Admission Experience
- 2 I got selected in both
- First I have applied to Seneca and I got selected the course was 1 year so I didn't continued with that
- Later I applied to st Clair and I got accepted within a week and it was 2 years course so I took it. I got the confirmed admission in St Clair College Toronto Campus in 2021 May the college is public and trustable so the second application was my final selected college.
- First it was public college low fees compared to other colleges, secondly I wanted to do international business management that too 2 year course so I got everything what I wanted that is what made me to take this college also I have seen so many good reviews in the past from people on YouTube google and other social media account.
- The process was very smooth first I have applied for offer letter which I have received in a week then I have to pay fees within one month of timeline, then the GIC and I have applied my file with IRCC and waited for biometric letter which I got in 1 week after my biomentric I got my study visa in 14 Days.
- I gave IELTS and scored 7 bands. To be honest there were no challenges the only challenge I could say is money as accumulating 20 LAKHS INR is not easy for any middle class family.
- I applied for May intake 2021, May intake is less crowded and as Canada is cold climate country I wanted to go in summers to get adapt to environment before winters, The admission process for me took 5-6 months because of covid otherwise its fast. There is as such no timeline because of covid the results were coming late but otherwise the process for study visa is quite fast as IRCC knows students pay fees which is huge amount if they will not get visa on time they have to suffer and have to go through deferral program.
Faculty
- The total students was 50 in one class, and there were more than 200 in whole course so it didn't affected the quality of education, teaching methodology was good, staff was helpful even the career coordinators.
- Yes faculty helps but not 100% they just tell you do this do that and rest of the work students have to do themselves which is not easy sometimes in foreign countries.
- I admire my career coordinator because she helped me in making my resume which helped me in getting full time job
Campus Life
- The campus was not as big as I have imagined but it was decent there were shops outside like Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Pizza Pizza.
- My college have 4 campus - Windsor, chatham, Mississauga and Toronto, Windsor campus is big and main one the others are not as big as main but they are good too.
- There are many events on every public holiday they celebrate they celebrate Indian festivals too.
- In sports we have basketball, table tennis, badminton, race, and many others
Part Time Jobs
- That depends on their efforts I got elected as peer tutor I cleared interview and applied through google form I received on my student mail, hourly 17 Cad minimum.
- They can become src campus leader, student coordinator, internship in their own course and many other, like event coordinator, 20 hours is the max allowed for student, Its competitive so not easy but if you are highly motivated you can secure for sure.
- They earn around 1200 CAD monthly , Its not easy at all current situation is highly competitive and to get any type of job is very hard you need to call agencies go for registratiotion, do so many online visiting and after spending hours of hours, transportation costs its not east to find the job. What you need is patience, determination and motivation to find a job.
Placement
- For full time also its hard to get until and unless you have patience time to give to applications interview practice and lot of other things like networking.
- Average salary range depends on your position but minimum in ontario is 17.50 Cad per hour.
- Common Methods - Staffing agencies, referral. campus events, networking, LinkedIn, Indeed, Jobbing.ca and other social media platform
Accommodation
- Accommodation is good here, I found it through Facebook marketplace and Kijiji is also one of the platform to find accommodation,.
- My monthly rent was 500$ , the challenges I faced was living in sharing its not easy to stay with someone else they disturb you if they are not ready to compromise its hard to live with some random people.
- My only suggestionis if you have family here live with them or look for private room
Exams
- IELTS was requires for my college you can do PTE also, for admission SOP, CV, graduation degree, 3 LOR.
- No Interview was not part of my application it just came after 2023 so I did not go through interview process. But as some of people I know this who gave interview its very basic they just check your confidence and reassure why you selected the course and city to see how much you have researched and aware of your future decisions.
Fees
- 16000 CAD - first year , Third semester - 7000 CAD , Fourth Year - 7000 CAD
- In my college its first you have to pay entire fees for one year then semester wise.
- My monthly expenses was around 700 cad that too if I don't do extra expenses which is not necessary.
- Rent was 500 cad, transportation - 150 cad, Grocery - 100 CAD
- But as now we are in 2025 the expenses has raised and now its around 1200 CAD per month
Scholarship
- Yes we do have I didn't got it but my friends they got it its for 500 CAD.
- The eligibility was we have to fill the form and tell them what we deserve the scholarship also you need to have good GPA to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Around 20 students from one course gets the scholarship and if you are all rounder good in sports, academics, participative you can definitely get it.
