Required Exams for Admission
CapU has given me a lot of opportunities to work and analyze different business sectors. Sometimes those challenging courses are the most fun because it triggers the critical thinking. CapU is the best.
Course Curriculum
The program is amazing. First year courses cover basic business background and quantitative analysis- statistics, business computing. As you get experience to these materials, second year courses are the analytical courses content such as Human Resources, employment law and electives. Third year courses are intense business courses - strategic and project management. Fourth year courses are experiential where you get an opportunity to understand different business. Some instructors gives projects to work with an actual running business and help them improve their business practices.
Faculty
The instructors are so experienced and they teach in various reputed universities such as UBC and SFU. The instructors have sufficient experience throughout their career and every one of them shares their successes and failures.
Campus Life
CapU campus is large surrounded by beautiful landscapes of North Vancouver. It feels so good when campus is between the woods. Students can walk along the trail in their free time. University has lots of auxiliary services like library, Wifi, CapU student union, Food court, admin services, basketball court and much more.
Placement
It is unlikely to get a university placement but fourth year courses gives an opportunity of networking with businesses and it’s really helpful.
Accommodation
I have arranged my own accommodation and I live with my brother.
Exams
For my International admissions: I completed my IELTS with overall 7 bands. My education back in India focused on commerce stream and Maths is not included in Gujarat. I had to give additional Math placement test (MPT) just to check if I know basic calculus and if I had scored low- university would provide me with additional courses to complete along with my program requirements. I submitted SOP during my visa filing process. I took 3 LORs from my School : St Kabir of 2 major subjects and 1 minor.
Fees
Fees depends on International and domestic status. International tuition are comparatively higher can aim around $30,000 for a whole BBQ program. It would be more!
