Likes
- It had everything to offer. My program in hospitality had some great courses that I wanted to study and I believed they would help me to excel in the industry.
- Capilano University is beautiful and is at a very serene location. It has many schools offering alot of different courses, be it Science, Business or Arts. Other then studies, the university has a lot to offer in terms of co curricular, student unions, sports.
Dislikes
- I liked everything about it. There was nothing as such I disliked, because academics and extra curriculars are given equal standards making it an all rounder space for the students. Great exposure and great faculty made the entire journey amazing.
Required Exams for Admission
Overall, my experience at Capilano University was great. The fellow students, faculties, student union members, everyone was so welcoming. It was a great journey and I learnt a lot and spent many fun times there.
Course Curriculum
The courses offered are very extensive, and the faculty is very experienced.
Faculty
The lot of faculty are the people who are from the specific industry and have excelled there, and are now passing their knowledge to the coming generation.
Campus Life
Campus is really beautiful with unique infrastructure. Being in North Vancouver, it has amazing views of the mountains.
Placement
We had job fairs on campus, however I did not attend them as I secured a permanent position at my part time work.
Accommodation
The rent would be around 800-1000CAD for a private room in a share apartment in Vancouver. Living in downtown can be expensive and the rent can go till 1500-2000CAD per month.
Exams
My score in IELTS was 8/9. But the requirement was a minimum of 6.5 bands overall, with no less than 5.5 in any section. CV and SOP was required to be uploaded in the application process. There was no interview or any specific test involved.
Fees
It was around 35,000 CAD for two year program.
