Likes
- I received admission offer from this university and global ranking is good.
- The university is one of the top rated institutes and thus students get good exposure in terms of research, jobs etc. There is a huge range of courses to choose from based on student's interests. The Infrastructure and Legacy of the university is awesome.
Dislikes
- Sometimes there is over emphasis over research candidates than course based candidates, so the number of scholarships, teaching assistant positions etc. are more suitable for research based students than course based.
It has been great in many ways as I am learning new things everyday. The exposure and infrastructure is very good that helps in overall development of a student.
Course Curriculum
The coursework is designed to be very relevant to the industry requirements and latest updates. The industry exposure is given through various industry projects and Co-op opportunities.
Exams
International English Language Testing System: 7.5 (Reading :8,Listening :8,Writing :6.5,Speaking :7.5). Submitted Statement of Purpose, Letter of references and Resume. There were no interview rounds.
Placement
Tech companies like Nokia, Ericsson, Dell and other government organizations hire lot of students from the university.
Internship
Yes. Name of the company: Commtech telecommunications as Software & Cloud engineer.
Fees
The fees is based on number of credits taken in particular term. So, for one term if a student is taking 3 courses then fees would be approximate 10500 CAD.
Scholarship
Received bursary of CAD 500/term. The application form is to be submitted on university portal.
Faculty
Most of the classes would have less than 30 students and staff and faculties are excellent. They make sure that the knowledge is conveyed to the students by going out of their way. Professor Arya Rahgozar , Professor Caroline Barie are few of them.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is top class. There are 2 sport complex with latest appliances, library is huge , high speed Wifi is available all over campus.
Hostel
There are plenty university accommodations available inclosing food facilities but on quite higher side of the expenses.
