The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering offers programmes of study leading to the degrees of a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry or a Bachelor of Science (Major) in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering. A double major is also offered in: Chemistry / Physics; Chemistry / Space Science; Chemistry / Mathematics; or Chemistry / Computer Science.The students will have a choice between three options: Chemistry; Chemistry with an Environment Option; or Chemistry with a Life Sciences Option. The different options offered will have a common First and Second Year to ensure a strong background in Chemistry and to allow time for the students to choose a specialization.
