  • Seneca College offers a Graduate Certificate (Grad.Cert) program in Human Resources Management that is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a career in human resources.
  • The program typically takes one year to complete and covers a wide range of subjects related to human resources management, including recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, employment law, organizational behavior, and more.
  • Students will also have the opportunity to develop practical skills in areas such as HR analytics, talent management, and HR strategy.
  • Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain valuable industry experience through co-op placements and internships.
  • This will allow them to develop practical skills and build professional networks that will help them succeed in their careers.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario university or college degree or three-year college diploma or equivalent
  • Applicants with an equivalent combination of partial postsecondary and/or three to five years of related work experience may be considered for admission. A relevant resume and references must be provided.

English Language Requirements

All applicants to Seneca must be well prepared to study in English. If you are coming from a country where English is not the primary language, you must show one of the following:

  1. Successful completion of a minimum of two years of full-time study in a school and country where English is the primary language
  2. Successful completion of a minimum of one year of full-time study at the postsecondary level in an institution and country where English is the primary language
  3. Successful completion of an intensive English program such as the English Language Institute
  4. English proficiency test scores from one of the international English language testing bodies are listed below. Only tests taken in the last two years are considered valid
  • IELTS Academic - Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
  • PTE Academic - Minimum score 58
  • TOEFL iBT (including MyBest TOEFL and Home Edition) - Minimum 80 with no skill below 20
  • Duolingo - Minimum score 105 to 110
  • Cambridge English Exams (B2 First/FCE, C1 Advanced/CAE, or C2 Proficiency/CPE) - Minimum 169 with no skill below 162
