Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant field such as: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, “Other Natural and Physical Sciences” or relevant Health related fields (Medical, Veterinary or Dental Studies, Nursing, Pharmacy or “Other Health” related disciplines).
  • Applicants with a major in Criminology will be considered if they contain units in a Biological or Chemical Science (i.e. Crime Science) at the discretion of the Academic Chair. 
  • Students with a Criminology or non-science degree that doesn't include biology or chemistry can't enter the M1292 program directly, as they haven't shown enough science background.
  • These students may apply to the Graduate Certificate (C1131) or Graduate Diploma (G1085) with approval. Completing 12 credit points proves scientific competency and allows credit transfer into the M1292 program.

English Proficiency Score

  • IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with no band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 60 with 13 in Reading, 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking and 12 in Listening
  • PTE Academic: Overall score of 50 with 53 in Reading, 54 in writing, and 50 in Speaking and Listening
