SoP was required. A compelling story as to why you need to study this specific course at this specific university will be required. You have to specify why you need to learn this skill/ up skill. It had a good ranking, and a great scholarship. Also its proximity to city. It’s been great overall. I love going to Swinburne for my studies, and I really enjoy it. The scholarship is great too. It does make me feel at home with the different cultural programs and amazing free events. It’s also got various spots to hang out with friends too. I would 10/10 recommend this uni for an amazing college life.

Course Curriculum

8

It is updated and relevant to the industry. But the problem is that it doesn’t explicitly state that a higher degree (such as honours) or master's is required for a job in most cases.

Faculty

8

We are looking at around 15 students per faculty on average, all of them well versed and competent in their fields. Professor Jason Howitt has completely changed my perspective on reading research papers and my other professors have helped create a new way of looking at things.

Campus Life

9

The clubs are awesome. There are cultural clubs for almost all cultures in India. Celebrations take place, too. University Wifi is reliable and available throughout the campus, and it is seamless even if you change locations, it would automatically give you the best range. Latelab is an amazing place that is open 24/7, and this is a computer library for students.

Placement

3

Research opportunities are great for this course, with the university even granting a great Masters program (research).

Accommodation

Off Campus

I share a house with 2 of my friends with my room, at a 1.5 km distance from Uni. I pay 652 AUD per month, excluding bills. Including bills, we can expect a 720 AUD average. This is way lower than the houses in this region, which usually start at AUD 1000+ per month. And this is assuming that you find a house.

Exams

-My Scores: IELTS Reading 8.5 Writing 6.5 Speaking 8.5 Listening 8.5. The class minimum IELTS average is 6 with no band below 5.5 -Interview: No, I had no interview after submission of SoO.

Fees

It is 32,000-34,000 AUD per year (fees increase annually)

Scholarship

I have Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship which is 75% reduction in the fees, which was awarded based on my CBSE grades (95%). This scholarship has been discontinued for new students.
