Academic Qualification

FOR COURSE BASED REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a basic science discipline with typically 3.7 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• Exceptional students from other backgrounds may be considered but may need to take additional coursework.
• Recommended Academic Preparation: College-level physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology; programming experience beneficial.

FOR THESIS BASED REQUIREMENT:

• Must complete the same requirements as the course-based degree option.
• First Year: Completion of course requirements.
• Second Year: Research-only year leading to thesis submission.
• Thesis Submission: Required at the end of the second year.
• Declaration Deadline: Students must declare their intention to pursue the research + thesis option by April 1st of the coursework year (spring semester).

English Proficiency Test

• IELTS: 7.0 (Academic Band Score).
• TOEFL: 600 (Paper-based), 250 (Computer-based), 100 (Internet-based).
• Cambridge English Qualifications: 185 (B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency).
