- Materials scientists and engineers seek to understand the fundamental relationships between the structure, properties, processing, and performance of materials toward the synthesis of new materials. They also develop improved processes for making materials and work to understand the role of materials in the functioning of biological organisms.

If you have completed a bachelor’s degree at a college/university in a country where the official language is not English, but where the sole/primary language of instruction, writing, and testing is English are exempted from submitting a valid ELP test score. However, you must provide documentation from the college/university confirming English Language instruction; documentation can include a certificate, letter, or other official document stating the language of instruction.
