The Department of Nursing at California State University, Bakersfield offers a fully online RN to BSN Program designed for registered nurses seeking to complete their Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing after earning an Associate Degree. Offered once a year during the summer term, the program enables students to earn their BSN in just 12 months, running from summer through spring. While primarily online via the Blackboard platform, students are required to complete approximately eleven clinical days during the fall term at the Kern County Department of Public Health or an assigned clinical site. All general education requirements must be completed by the final quarter of the program. Applicants must submit an official high school transcript in English showing proof of graduation with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
