The Department of Mathematics offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics. The Bachelor of Science degree may also be acquired with the explicit addition of one of these options: actuarial science, applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, or secondary teaching certification.
The programme offered by University of Texas Arlington is aimed at students seeking careers as mathematicians in the emerging high-tech industries. This degree option is for students seeking immediate employment after graduation. Additional course work may be required for admission to graduate school.
All students seeking a bachelor's degree in mathematics must take at least two mathematics sequences.
