Musical theatre students at Anderson University have recital opportunities on a regular basis at which to showcase their voice. Students also have opportunities to perform in four productions each year, which include theatre, musical theatre, and opera. In complementary majors, some of the experiences will be linked to or completed through their major of choice.
The type of career a student with a complementary major in music pursues may vary greatly depending on the major with which they pair it. Students may choose this alongside English to work as performance critics. They may pair it with worship arts in order to further their opportunities to serve the Kingdom. The skills learned in musical theatre may also serve a student in public speaking or acting professions as well as teaching. Sometimes, it isn?t about the specific expression at work but rather fulfilling the student in a way that strengthens them for their calling.
