Your coursework will include a comprehensive view of dance as an art form and physical skill, as well as the opportunity to develop skills in choreography and staging movement in choreography classes,studio concerts,and special projects. To enhance your ability to perform and choreograph, you are encouraged to participate in Orchesis I, Orchesis II, or the Iowa State Dance Tour Company. Yearly guest artists are involved with coaching, teaching, and choreography. The dance emphasis is offered through the performing arts program. You can also minor in dance through the Department of Kinesiology.
