Admission into this degree program requires the completion of a college level certificate, diploma or associate degree in an allied health field. These may include, but are not limited to, nursing, paramedic, X-ray technology, dental hygiene, and complementary and alternative modalities such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, and massage therapy. Students will enter into this degree with a varied number of transfer credits from their allied health programs as determined by the Registrars Office and the Chairperson of the Department of Health.
Health Science graduates can advance in their health specialty field; can obtain jobs in voluntary health agencies, and hospital and agency administration. Graduates can also go on to graduate school programs in fields such as Public Health and Physician Assistant. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification eligibility is also possible with faculty advisement.
