The faculty strives to help students develop professional skills and values needed for successful careers in mass-media-related fields, while acquiring a base of general knowledge and developing critical thinking skills.
Faculty members work to insure that skills courses reflect current industry standards. Students are strongly encouraged to set up internships and acquire professional experience in traditional course work through service-learning projects, practicums and projects involving media or public relations organizations.
