The Bachelor of Science Electronic Engineering Technology at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University program has four primary areas of objectives: developing applied electronic engineers with technical and professional skills, creating successful leaders, producing responsible professional graduates, and preparing continuous professional life long learners. Strategies are derived from the objectives and outcomes are measured based on the assessment measures that are identified for each strategy. Annual faculty reviews and Industry Advisory Council members evaluate the results and observations generated from the program assessment plan. Further objectives, outcomes, strategies and assessment measures are identified and/or modified to incorporate program enhancements and improvements. These objectives are published through course syllabi and through the FAMU website. The objectives are listed as follows:
- Possess the technical and professional skills to have successful careers in regional, state or national industries related to their discipline associated with the design, development, implementation, application, manufacturing, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.
- Demonstrate success in their careers by being promoted, being afforded additional training opportunities, and becoming leaders in their organizations and professions.
- Conducting all professional activities with integrity and demonstrating a sense of social and environmental responsibility; being capable of assuming increasing professional responsibility.
- Adapting to changes in technology through continuous personal and professional development; career advancement and continuous professional development in installation, operation and/or maintenance of computer and software systems.
