The Sport Management program at Georgia Southern is well-established, officially approved by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) in 1995. Our program explores the professional side of sports ? commercial, managerial and legal ? and provides our students with both the academic preparation and hands-on training that are required for success in this highly competitive field.
The students gain experience both in the classroom and in the field with a required, semester-long internship before graduation. The internship is full-time (40 hours per week) and previous students have found rewarding experiences with some of the following professional organizations:
