Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Journalism] From Georgia Southern University

The program includes newspapers, specialty publications, magazines, online publications. The Multimedia Journalism core curriculum is strongly grounded in the Liberal Arts, while the major courses provide students a balance of the practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline. The curriculum has been modified to reflect the growing trend within the media industry toward convergence. Students will be prepared to deliver information across diverse platforms.

Multimedia Journalism students are encouraged to pursue their interests as paid staff members with The George-Anne newspaper and The Southern Reflector magazine, where they write, edit, and manage publications on a daily basis. Students are also encouraged to apply for internships to gain professional experience.
