- Interior designers are the experts who keep our living, working, and gathering places convenient, comfortable, and beautiful. MSU’s curriculum will help students transform their passion for beauty, art, and the physical environment into a career as an interior designer.
- In this program, students will train for multiple specialties, balancing their needs for expertise in sales, design, and restoration. Students will also refine their knowledge of design theory, aesthetics, space planning, and environmental design - to help them provide design solutions that are appealing, sophisticated, and practical. Many of MSU’s graduates offer design services in home furnishing stores, for suppliers and dealers, or residential building construction companies. Some interior designers concentrate on specific areas, like designing restaurants or residential baths. Others design interiors for airplanes or plan historic restoration.
