Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Communication Studies] From Augustana University

The department of communication studies houses both liberal arts and pre-professional majors, offering three courses of study:

• Communication?This major or minor prepares students for both professional and graduate work. It also serves as an excellent second major in combination with business, economics, English, government, journalism and more.
• Communication Business?This interdisciplinary major combines work in both the communication and business departments. It places greater focus upon applied social influence.
• Media Studies?This new major analyzes the collection, production and spread of ideas within the context of an increasingly mediated world. Media studies also explores the social, historical, political, and cultural aspects of the media, while developing an understanding of its aesthetics, production and social influence.
