At Susquehanna, you'll focus on the tools you need to improve your acting. Our series of intensive acting classes are supported by coursework in theatre history and dramatic theory, enhancing your performance opportunities on stage.

We have five mainstage theatre productions every year, including a student-directed show and a major musical, plus a student directing showcase. We also collaborate with the Department of Music on their annual opera program.

That means acting opportunities are available in mainstage theatre productions from your very first semester. We produce our shows by developing the strength of the ensemble, which will help you build collaboration skills with your fellow theatre performers.

Our faculty are dedicated to helping you find the right internships working with theatres across the country to develop your professional experience resume and build your network, so you can pursue an advanced degree or employment opportunities in acting or related theatre fields.

And you'll also learn about the work of your backstage colleagues and get experience in other production elements to help you land a job or give you a fuller understanding of life in the theatre.
